작은딸과 꼬모 호수에서 (2012년 9월 9일)

지난 봄.작은 딸이 대학을 조기 졸업하고 여수엑스포에 지원했다는 말을 들었을 때, 졸업식에 참석한다는 핑계로 지난 5월달에 L.A.를 방문할 계획이 취소된 아쉬움도 있지만, 한편으로는 한학기 등록금을 아껴 준 딸애가 고맙기도 했다. 

When my dear younger daughter applied '2012 Yeosu-Expo' early this spring, my mind was mixed for a short moment. I had to cancel my plan to drop in L.A. with the excuse of  attending her graduation, but was pleased to thank her by saving school fee for the first and/or second quarter of the year.  

많은 꿈과 희망을 안고 여수 엑스포에 자원봉사자로 일을 하면서, 한국의 좋은 점보다는 병폐를 더 많이 본 것이 아닌가 하는 아쉬움도 가졌다고 했는데. 그렇지만 UN관 구삼열 대표와도 친해져서 반기문 총장님과 같이 사진을 찍을 수 있는 기회를 가지기도 하였고, 이를 계기로 9월 중순부터 구대표가 주관하는 2012 Seoul Gourmet (2012 서울 고메)에도 같이 일하기로 했단다. 

While working at the Yeosu-Expo as a volunteer with much of dream and hope, she might feel more sorrow by facing problems than goodness. But she was lucky to work together with Dr. Koo and had a chance to take picture with Mr. Bahn - the U.N. Secretary, then decided to work with Dr. Koo for the 2012 Seoul Gourmet.

잠시 빈 시간을 이용하여 밀라노를 방문하여 코모호수의 도시인 Cernobbio에 있는 빌라 데스테 (Villa D'Este)를 가고자 했는데, 무슨 행사가 있는 지 못들어 가게 한다. 더 북쪽으로 Moltrasio까지 올라 가서 코모 호수를 바라다 보면서 찍은 사진을 기록으로 남겨 두고자 한다. 

Taking the opportunity of times allowed, she paid a visit to Milano. We tried to visit Villa D'Este at the Lake Como, but the area was blocked for a special events, hence we drove further north to Moltrasio, where we took some pictures to memorize her visit to Milano !!
