스위스 장크트모리츠 St. Moritz, Swiss (2012년 9월 29일)

계절은 너무나 쉽게 빨리 바뀐다. 10월이 되면 낮이 급속히 짧아진다. 그래서 그동안 시행되던 금요일 오전근무제도 폐지되고. 그리고 자주 비가 오면서 습도도 높아져, 실제 온도보다 더 춥게 느끼는 계절이 우리를 맞이하겠지.  

Time flies so fast. Daylight is to be shortened quickly, and enjoying half-day work on Fridayis over in October. Frequent rains and high humidity will make us feel chillier than real. Hope to have a long Autumn without rain !    

 

더 늦기 전에 어디를 다녀볼가 궁리하다 발길을 돌린 곳이 세계 5대 휴양도시중의 하나인 스위스 장크트모리츠다. 밀라노에서 코모호수의 우측에 있는 도시인 레꼬 Lecco를 지나 SS37 번 도로를 따라 계곡을 달리다 보면 스위스 국경을 거쳐 MalojaPass (말로하 재)를 지나면 해발 1,800여 m에 위치한 장크트모리츠가 나온다. 루체른에서 이곳을 오려면 이 도시에 들어가려거든 말로하패스보다 더 높은 JulierPass(2,200m)를 지나야 하니, 눈이 많이 오는 겨울에는 이곳으로 가는 길이 거의 막혀있다고 한다. 

St. Moritz is the place we found to visit before winter season comes. It is called one of the five Resort City in the world. Driving the eastern-side of Lake Como to the north by passing Lecco via SS-37, passing Swiss border and MalojaPass, the beautiful city, St. Moritz, reveals itself at the altitude of around 1,800 meters. It is not able to reach St. Moritz by car in winter season as another way to reach St. Moritz from Luzern has to pass through the higher JulierPass (2,200 m). Actualy those two passes are closed during most of winter season, .  

 

장크트모리츠는 고지대에 위치하여 여름에도 덥지 않으며, 도시 중심에 자연적으로 분출하는 약수터를 중심으로 Health Clinic 빌딩이 만들어져 있다. 노인들이 의사 처방전만 가지고 가면 이곳에서 마사지 등의 치료를 받을 수 있다고 한다. 약수물 맛은 옛날에 느끼던 철분이 많은 점에서 오색약수와 비슷한 거 같고, 탄산수가 좀 섞여 있어서 약간 찌린내가 나는 게 초정약수와 비슷한 느낌인 것 같기도 하고. 

 It is famous for Oldies. As situated at high altitude, it is cool even in summer, and there is a big Health Clinic building, inside of which medicinal water falls continuously from faucet. With doctor's prescription, you can have massage and other proper medical treatment at this building. Taste of the water looks similar to Osaek-Yaksoo at Sorak Mountain having high iron contents or Chojung-Yaksoo having some carbonates.  

자그만 도심에는 온통 명품가게만 즐비한 데, 오히려 밀라노보다도 더 고가품들이 많이 전시된 것 같기도 하다. 

스위스 어느 도시나 비슷한 점이 있다면; 도심의 한쪽은 호수를 품고 있으며, 다른쪽은 알프스 산으로 병풍을 치고 있는 거 같다. 곤돌라만 타면 산의 중턱이나 정상까지 거의 올라 갈 수 있고, 그곳에서 부터 겨울에는 세계적인 스키장이 쫘악 펼쳐져 있으며, 여름에는 이를 트레킹 코스로 활용하고 있는 점이다. 동계올림픽을 두번이나 개최하였고 (1928년, 1948년), 알파인스키 세계챔피언쉽을 3번이나 개최한 곳 (1934, 1974, 2003) 이기도 하니...

Even though very small itself, downtown is fully covered by very expensive stores, the exhibited items might be more expensive than those in Milano. 

Similar to most other cities in Switzerland, this city also has a beautiful lake and back-screened by tall mountains. Gondola could take you to the top of mountains over 3,000 meters or middle wherever you want. From there you can enjoy skiing in winter or trekking in summer. This city hosted the 1928 and 1948 Winter Olympics, and the 1934, 1974 and 2003 Alpine Skiing World Championships.

 

곤돌라를 타고 중간지점까지 올라가서 걸어 내려올 요량으로 등산화까지 가지고 갔는데, 하루 종일 비가 와서 그냥 오늘은 맛보기 여행으로 간주하고 시내와 호숫가 주변만 둘러보고, 다음에 이곳에 다시 오면 좋겠다는 미련만 뒤로 하고 밀라노로 돌아왔다.  

We brought our mountain-climbing shoes with a hope of trekking several hours from the middle of the mountains, but had to skip this plan by blaming whole-day rain. Instead, we spent our time by watching landscape at the lakeside. Can we have another opportunity to visit here again?
